Adil Shirinov was appointed Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant CEO

Adil Shirinov was appointed CEO of “Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant” LLC.  

“Adil Shirinov’s key objective at his new position will be to implement Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant’s approved product strategy, raise the brand’s market share, and develop with the renewed “Ford Sollers” Joint Venture joint programs for localizing a competent base, creating a common base of suppliers, as well as implement synergy in the field of sales and build a dealer network,” Vadim Shvetsov, “SOLLERS”, PJSC, CEO commented on its purpose.  

As Vadim Shvetsov noted: “Adil Shirinov is one of the best specialists in the Russian automobile sector. He is convinced that his expansive practical experience and professional competences will facilitate high quality standards and business process efficiency of the Ulyanovsk Car Plant.”

In the past years, Adil Shirinov led key Ford Sollers Joint Venture projects directed to stabilize business when the market is down. It made a substantial investment in the development of the production sites and localization of Ford in Russia.

Before being appointed to the joint venture, Adil Shirinov held the positions of senior executive vice president a well as the commercial director of PJSC “SOLLERS” and led all commercial talks with partners. Before that, he was involved in the full-scale development of the production divisions in Tatarstan, including plants in Elabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny.  Under his leadership, modern production capacities were organized to produce foreign brand automobiles.  Adil Shirinov also made a substantial contribution to the development of cooperation with Fiat, SsangYong, and Isuzu.

Adil Shirinov’s professional engagements since 1999 were related to the automobile industry. Until his arrival at PJSC “SOLLERS”, Adil Shirinov worked at “RusPromAuto”, OJSC, as the senior executive vice president. From 1999 to 2002 at Ford Motor Company, where he was the first employee, he was hired to work on the industrial site creation project in Vsevolozhsk.  Adil Shirinov first worked at Ford as the production and non-production procurement manager and then as the regional procurement director (Povolzhye).
Adil Shirinov graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod Foreign Language Institute (1990) as well as receivied an MBA in the International Management Institute, Saint Petersburg (IMISP).
