In 2021, the company sold 21,452 cars in Russia and in export markets; the growth being 47% compared to 2020.

“The sales in 2021 are a justified result of our smooth teamwork. 2021 was a very productive year for us as the company bought an engine plant, delivered a new generation of buses to Mosgortrans, managed to anticipate all the difficulties related to deliveries of car components not allowing the plant to stop even for an hour, launched the production of sandwich panels for topsides assembly, opened a showroom at the Ford Centre Alabuga plant, and started up the subscription service for our cars. Ford Transit has strengthened its leading position in the LCV segment showing that the customers’ choice was determined in addition to price also by quality, reliability, and elaborated functionality for business. We are sure in the competitive ability of our product, which enables us to make serious and ambitious plans for 2022 to increase production, set up additional businesses related to the product range localization, to launch innovative technologies and new financial instruments, and to further introduce electrification and digitization in order to meet all customers’ needs. We have planned for 2022 a number of novelties and premieres, which will let us strengthen our market presence and improve our sales performance”, said Adil Shirinov, Sollers Ford President and CEO.

Ford Transit sales broke all records in 2021 having been increased by 47%. Ford Transit versatility makes it popular both in the big business sphere and with individual clients. For instance, 43% of all sales accounted for large corporate deliveries while 57% were orders from small businesses, sole proprietors, and private clients. The greatest deliveries in 2021 were for Yandex Drive and the Russian Post.

Maximal customization of vehicles is the key trend of Sollers Ford growth and a integral part of successful sales. In 2021, the number of Ford Transit special-purpose versions increased by 21% and currently amounts to over 170 different modifications. Sales of special-purpose vehicles took up half of the total output, industrial van being one of the most ordered modifications since the beginning of the year.

Sollers Ford is improving its marketing, financial, and digital services, which makes Ford Transit most accessible for a greater number of customers while decreasing the ownership cost and increasing the vehicle service life. 62% of all transactions in 2021 took place using leasing programs. Over a thousand cars were booked through Ford online shopping window, which proves the effectiveness of interaction with customers via digital channels.

A wide range of Ford Transit commercial vehicle modifications enables the clients to make a choice which suites their business to the greatest extent. The all-metal van remains the leader of sales accounting for 63%, the second place is occupied by the chassis with superstructures (27%) whose share has grown significantly owing to the launch of a new production of sandwich panels in 2021. Preferences for the type of drive of sold cars were distributed as follows: 56% front drive, 40% rear drive, and 4% all-wheel drive.
