MAZDA SOLLERS plant in Vladivostok launched new machining shop of engine components

New production process was officially launched by video conference with President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on September 2, 2021.

New machining shop of Mazda SkyActiv-G cylinder head (CH) is completely automated production site with 22 units of innovative equipment, using computer vision systems, and 5 units of high-precision machining control devices.

With more than 4 billion rubles investment, top capacity of the line reaches 50 thousand CH units per year.

During the launch ceremony Vadim Shvetsov, the chairman of the SOLLERS Auto PJSC Board of Directors, pointed out: “Newly launched production process of machining can be rightfully regarded as the heart of any engine plant. Together with our Japanese partners, we created high-technological production site, unique for Russian Far East. By launching new production process, we’re considerably increasing localization of our engines, creating new jobs and developing first in Russian Far East center with expertise in high-precision machining”.

Launch of machining of engine components shop is an integral part of second stage in investment project aimed at developing of Mazda engine production within PDA (Priority Development Area) “Nadezhdinskaya”.

In 2018, the new plant for manufacturing of Mazda SkyActiv-G engines with full support of Euro-5 emission standard was opened in Vladivostok. All 14 thousand sq. km of the plant are designed for export production. All engine units are shipped to manufacturing sites of Mazda Motor Corp in Japan. As of 2020, MAZDA SOLLERS has reached the planned capacity of 20 thousand units per year.

MAZDA SOLLERS Manufacturing Rus LLC is a Joint Venture of SOLLERS Auto PJSC, Russia, and Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan. JV production site launched vehicle production in 2012. As of now, the plant manufactures SUV Mazda CX-9, crossover Mazda CX-5 and sedan Mazda 6. Total production capacity reaches 30 thousand units per year.
