Sales of Ford Transit Vehicles Increased by 4.2 % as of 2019 Year End

20.01.2020

In 2019, Ford Sollers sold 12,589 Ford Transit commercial vehicles. Sales of Ford LCVs increased by 4.2 % as compared to the same period in 2018.

Ford Transit vehicles were the most popular foreign-manufactured LCVs among Russian customers.

The most successful month of 2019 was December, with 1,627 Ford Transit vehicles sold. The positive sales dynamic in December made the company’s fourth quarter the best of the year, with 3,914 vehicles sold.

When choosing Ford Transit vehicles, customers consider important factors such as low cost of ownership, high quality of maintenance services through the official dealer network, and comfortable driving experience. Additionally, the highest re-sale value in the segment is another reason why customers choose Ford Transit.

Under the aegis of the Ford brand’s current strategy in Russia, the number of Transit maintenance centres in the key regions of the country will increase. Dealerships have special promotions called Bonus for Trade-in with benefits of 150,000 roubles and Bonus for Leasing with benefits of up to 250,000 roubles towards the purchase of a new Ford Transit. In addition to all this, all new owners become members of Ford Roadside Assistance program with 24/7 technical assistance and free tow truck services.

Ford Transit vehicles have been fully produced in the plant in Elabuga since April 2015, including welding and painting.

At this time, the full range of special versions of vehicles based on Ford Transit includes 55 various transport models for special and social purposes. In 2019, corporate clients were provided with ambulance vehicles, municipal and intercity buses, vehicles for courier services and carsharing, as well as other Ford Transit modifications.

The range of basic versions includes an all-metal cargo van, a bus, and a chassis which come in three wheelbase lengths, two roof heights, and all types of transmission, including four-wheeled drive. All Ford Transit cars are equipped with reliable and cost-effective 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engines (125 to 155 hp).
