Production of Sollers TR series medium-duty vehicles has been launched at SOLLERS Comtrans facility in Ulyanovsk. First vehicles rolled off the production line in the presence of Alexey Russkikh, Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, and Adil Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOLLERS PJSC.
The new facility is designed to produce a range of Sollers TR vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3.5 to 18 tonnes. The production area is about 4,000 m2, and the facility’s total area is 16,000 m2. The new plant’s production capacity is 5,000 vehicles per year.
“The launch of mass production of trucks at the plant in Ulyanovsk is an important step for our company,” said Adil Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOLLERS PJSC. “SOLLERS is again bringing medium-duty trucks to the market, and our range of vehicles fully meets all requirements in such a competitive sector. I’m certain that reliability, functionality and high quality of our new vehicles, comfortable conditions for drivers, high-tech domestic production and excellent warranty provisions will allow our products to win leading positions in this segment on the market in Russia,” Adil Shirinov stated.
Under the project on production of medium-duty trucks there were adopted innovative approaches to automation and digitalisation of business processes, which manifested themselves in implementation of modern IT solutions on all stages of work: from taking purchase orders to production management and supply of finished vehicles to dealers. The available stack of process design solutions ensures realisation of all key elements of the Industry 4.0 concept and is based on import-independent solutions developed jointly with PROF-IT GROUP.
Sollers TR series trucks provide universal solution for various types of transportation operations. The vehicles are distinguished by excellent maneuverability, and the extra large cabin glazing and large mirrors provide excellent visibility in all directions.
In base trim vehicle version, the cabin includes an electrically heated driver’s seat with air suspension, steering wheel adjustment in two directions, air conditioning, heated side mirrors, starting preheater, cruise control and multimedia system with color touch screen display, controls mounted on steering wheel and a rear view camera display. Automated banking system and stability control ensure safe behavior in all road conditions.
The range of Sollers TR vehicles includes the following models:
• Sollers TR35/TR50 with GVW of 3.5 and 5 tonnes equipped with a 2.8-litre engine with a maximum output of 140 hp and a manual six-speed transmission. TR35 is accessible for Category B driving license holders.
• Sollers TR80 with GVW of 8 tonnes. This vehicle is equipped with a 4-litre engine with a maximum output of 163 hp and a six-speed manual transmission.
• Sollers TR120 with GVW of 12 tonnes is equipped with a 4-litre engine with a maximum output of 187 hp and a six-speed manual transmission. The cabin has a 40 cm wide truck sleeper.
• Sollers TR180 with GVW of 18 tonnes is equipped with a 6.7-litre engine with a maximum output of 261 hp and a manual eight-speed transmission. The cabin is particularly spacious with plenty of storage compartments and a 60 cm wide truck sleeper.
A wide range of body versions is offered for Sollers TR vehicles, including high-sided with and without canopy, for general merchandise transportation, and isothermal with the possibility of installing refrigeration equipment. It is also possible to install special superstructures, such as a manipulating crane, a hydraulic elevator, a car-carrier platform, etc.
Sollers trucks are provided with a 4 year (or 250,000 kilometers) warranty, which includes 2 years of factory warranty and 2 years of service support from the dealer.
