SOLLERS LAUNCHES A PROJECT TO SET UP LCV PRODUCTION UNDER ITS OWN BRAND

YELABUGA, Tatarstan, Russia, 26 November 2022. The project to organise the production of a line of light commercial vehicles under the SOLLERS brand was launched at the SOLLERS Alabuga site. The new Russian products were given the names Atlant and Argo.

The project was launched in the presence of Denis Manturov, the Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Adil Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOLLERS PJSC.

In addition, the SOLLERS plant, located in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, hosted a presentation of a model range of new SOLLERS vehicles and key components planned for localisation.

“SOLLERS vehicles will replace the Ford Transit, which has left the Russian market. Sales of the first new LCVs will already start this December, and full-cycle production will be launched in 2023. The localisation program for the new line of commercial vehicles will include the production of diesel engines, die forging, localisation of key electronic components, chassis components and so on. The entire current personnel of the plant will be involved in the project,” Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade said.

SOLLERS Atlant and SOLLERS Argo are poised to become strong players in the LCV market segment in Russia, capable of satisfying all business needs for light commercial transportation. The SOLLERS Atlant semi-cab configuration is a versatile platform for customised solutions. The SOLLERS Atlant model range includes a wide variety of modifications with the possibility of adaptation to the needs of the particular customer. With a GVW from 2.5 to 4.2 tonnes, the vehicle can be equipped with a 139 or 150 hp Euro 5 class diesel engine. The main advantages of the SOLLERS Atlant are best-in-class cost of ownership, a wide range of modifications, rich basic equipment, versatility and excellent ergonomics.

The SOLLERS Argo is a compact cabover vehicle for in-city transportation. The vehicle’s main advantages include its compactness, excellent manoeuvrability, low loading height, and the ability to enter the centre of large cities. The vehicle, with GVW ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes, is available either with a 130 hp diesel engine or a 147 hp gasoline engine meeting the Euro 5 standard.
